KVB FASTag

FasTag, operated by the National Highways Authority of India is an electronic toll collection system. The unique Radio Frequency Identification technology is used to make direct toll payments from the prepaid or savings account linked to the fastag. FASTags are issued by 22 certified banks including Karur Vysya Bank, using various channels.

Benefits of FasTag

The usage of FasTag by commuters not only helps the users but also the government and toll operators at large. Let’s understand how it benefits road users and toll operators:

For Road Users

Less Traffic Congestion

The non-stop movement of the four-wheeler vehicles at the toll plazas will ensure there is no long queue, and the commutation time will be reduced on the highways.

Non-Stop Motion Via Toll Plazas

The FasTag-attached vehicles can just drive through the toll plazas at ease without having to make cash transactions or face the hurdles of standing in a queue for a long time and so on. The quick and instant deduction of tax fee post scanning from toll plazas eases the process.

Easily Accessible Toll Statements

One need not have to wait at the toll plazas to get the statement of payments made, the rolling out of FasTag gives the user easy access to the online toll statements. The statements can be mailed or shared over the internet as well.

Convenient Cashless Payment at Toll Plazas

The FasTag will give vehicle owners the option to make cashless payments of toll tax. This will be helpful for the commuters who will have to cross through the highways daily as tendering the exact change is very challenging and painful amidst the era of UPI.
