IOB FASTag

FasTag, operated by the National Highways Authority of India is an electronic toll collection system. The unique Radio Frequency Identification technology is used to make direct toll payments from the prepaid or savings account linked to the fastag. FASTags are issued by 22 certified banks including Indian Overseas Bank, using various channels.

What is NETC FASTag?

The NETC FASTag is a device that uses RFID technology to make toll payments directly from the prepaid account to which it is linked.It is attached to the windscreen of your vehicle and allows you to drive through toll booths without stopping for cash transactions. You must recharge or top up the tag according to your needs.

What are the advantages of NETC FASTag?

Toll transactions do not require cash and it saves time
Tags can be recharged online using a debit card, NEFT, RTGS, or Net Banking.

What is the validity of NETC FASTag?

The NETC FASTag has an indefinite validity period. The same NETC FASTag can be used as long as the tag is read and not tampered with. If the reading quality deteriorates due to wear and tear, please contact your issuing bank for a new tag.

Which roads allow the use of the tag?

NETC FASTag is currently in use at toll plazas along national highways. Every day, more toll plazas are added to the NETC FASTag programme. The list of plazas can be found in the 'Active Toll Plazas' section.

What are the NETC FASTag fees?

The NETC FASTag has a one-time fee of Rs.100, which includes service tax and GST. The refundable security deposit varies according to the vehicle type.

How to purchase NETC FASTag?

Create your tag account by visiting any nearest IOB Bank branch.
At the Branch location, you must bring both the original and a copy of your KYC documents, as well as your vehicle's RC Book, Driving Licence, and Vehicle.
