Individuals who fall under certain categories can verify their mobile number through the web portal of Airtel as well as by using the Airtel app. The Telecom Service Provider (TSP) will take the aadhaar cardholders unique 12 – digit aadhaar number and will verify the same.
Those who fall under the category of Senior Citizens and Physically Challenged will be able to verify their Airtel mobile number with the Aadhaar card using the website or through the mobile app.

Step 1: Dial Airtel toll-free number 14546

Step 2: You are required to select whether you are an NRI (Non-Resident Indian) or Indian citizen.
Step 3: Then you need to press number 1 on your mobile phone for the procedure to link aadhaar with Airtel number.
Step 4: Then you have to mention your Aadhaar card number.
Step 5: The Airtel will generate an OTP and that OTP will be sent to your Airtel number.
Step 6: Give your permission to the customer service executive to access your name, photo and date of birth from UIDAI (Unique Identity Authority of India).
Step 7: The IVR(Interactive Voice Response) will read out the last digit 4 digits of your Airtel mobile number.
Step 8: Mention the OTP which is sent to your registered mobile number to confirm the accuracy of the last 4 digits of your mobile number.
Step 9: Press 1 on your mobile number, with that you will complete the procedure of linking your Aadhaar with Airtel number.
The users of Airtel number have to follow the below-mentioned simple steps to link their mobile number with Aadhaar Card.
Step 1: Visit the nearest Airtel showroom or Store along with a self-attested copy of the Aadhaar Card.
Step 2: Give your mobile number details and Aadhaar card number to the concerned executives in the Airtel showroom.
Step 3: The executives will be sent an OTP to your mobile number.
Step 4: Submit your biometric details (thumb impression)
Step 5: You will receive a confirmation message on your Airtel mobile number within 24 hours.
The central government of India intending to help customers to easily link their respective mobile number with Aadhaar card has asked the telecom operators in India to provide an option via interactive voice response (IVR) method for aadhaar linking purpose. One has to follow the below-mentioned steps to link mobile number with aadhaar via IVR.
Step 1: Call the toll-free number and follow the instructions carefully.
Step 2: Enter your Aadhaar card number twice as per the instructions.
Step 3: Confirm your request.
Step 4: Once your request gets accepted, you will be receiving a confirmation message on successful verification.
You only need to carry your self attested copy of Aadhaar card and your Airtel number for the verification process.
To link Aadhaar with Airtel number, no fees will be charged by Airtel executives.
The Airtel prepaid customers have to visit the nearest retailer shop of Airtel and the postpaid customers will have to visit the Airtel store for verification. For helping senior citizens and specially-abled individuals, the central government has directed the telcos to make provisions to conduct the re-verification process by visiting their home and thus making the process convenient and easy for all.
