As per the scheme, only farmers with 2 hectares of land are eligible to get benefits under this scheme in equal instalments. The amount will be directly credited to their PM Kisan Aadhaar Linked Bank account. 

According to the scheme, the funds will be directly transferred to the bank account of the beneficiary which is linked with the Aadhaar card. So it is mandatory to link aadhaar to PM Kisan Yojana. 

How to Link Aadhaar to PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme? 

The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana comes under the Agriculture Department, Cooperation and Farmer Welfare Department.

It was launched on February 24, 2019, to help farmers. As per the scheme, annually an amount of Rs 6,000 will be credited to their bank accounts directly in three equal instalments. 

The applicant must link their aadhaar card number with PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana to get the benefits of the scheme.

• First, visit the bank branch that has been linked with the Aadhaar Card.

• Then click on the ‘Farmers Corner’.

• Now the user can search the beneficiary status either by entering their account number of the aadhaar card number or mobile number.
• The status of the payment of a beneficiary will be visible on the screen. 

How to link a bank account with Aadhaar Online?

Step 1: Firstly, log in to the internet banking for the respective bank account too, which you wish to link your Aadhaar card.

Step 2: Then lookout for ‘Aadhaar card seeding’ or ‘Add aadhaar card’ or a similar option

Step 3: Proceed further and enter your aadhaar details carefully and double-check the same before clicking on the submit button.

Step 4:The linking of a bank account with aadhaar will be completed on successful verification of the information provided.

FTO Display on your bank account

If in case, the beneficiary of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi has not received the credited amount to their respective bank account, but the account is showing FTO (Fund Transfer Order), then one need not have to worry. Here FTO means that the information provided by the beneficiary has been verified by the government and the money will be soon credited to the account.

Benefits of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme 

• This scheme has been started to provide minimum income support to the farming community which has to bear the unseen consequences of nature (unseasonal rainfall, floods, drought, natural calamities and so on).

Currently, it is mandatory for linking aadhaar card to get a range of benefits from the government of India. The list of services includes securing an LPG subsidy, opening a bank account, a new mobile number, a PAN Card and so on.

• You will be redirected to a new page. On this page, the user will be given the option for Aadhaar Card Number, Mobile Number, Bank Account Number, Farmer Number. 
• Proceed further and click on the Aadhaar Number. 
• After selecting the Aadhaar number option, fill in all the required details and click on ‘Update’.
• All your details will be changed and updated accordingly. 

How to Update the Aadhaar Number? 

In the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, the credit instalment will be directly transferred to the farmer's bank account which is linked with the Aadhaar card.

Hence it is necessary to link or update correct and accurate details related to the aadhaar card. If in case, the bank account has not been linked with an Aadhaar card, then the applicant will not be eligible to get the benefits of the scheme rolled out by the central government.
