Many people throng to temples dedicated to Lord Shiva on this day. The Maheshwaram temple located at a distance of about 50 kilometres from Secunderabad is a major attraction on this day. The temple is believed to be over 350 years old and is built on the pushkarani called Shiva Ganga.
