This joyous occasion marks the beginning of a new year according to the Tibetan lunar calendar and is a Bank holiday in Arunachal Pradesh and is filled with traditional customs, rituals, and festivities. Buddhist monks perform special prayers and rituals to seek blessings for the new year.

Losar (Tibetan New Year):

Holi:

While Holi is primarily a Hindu festival, its celebration extends beyond religious boundaries in many parts of India, including Arunachal Pradesh. In 2025 Holi will be celebrated on 1st of March as a Bank holiday in Arunachal Pradesh. Holi in Arunachal Pradesh is a public holiday which is celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm.

Eid al-Fitr:

Good Friday:
