Western India Securities Ltd. (WISL) was incorporated on 3rd day
of December 1991 and obtained the Certificate of Commencement of
Business on 27th Day of December 1991 under the provisions of
Companies Act, 1956.

The Company has been active in the business of Registrars and
Share Transfer Agents since inception. The Company was accorded
Category I Registrars and Transfer Agent Status by the
Securities & Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for a period of 1
year from 16.11.93 to 15.11.94 vide their letter no.
PMD/OID/6336/93 dated 12.11.93. The Company has so far handled
Public/Rights Issue assignments for 27 companies. The break-up
of the same are as under:

2001 - The Company has entered into an agreement with CDSL & NSDL for dematerialisation.
