Vikash Metal & Power Ltd. Company History and Annual Growth Details

Incorporation and Initial Progress:

The company was originally incorporated as Vikash Metal Private
Ltd. on 4th July, 1996 and later converted into a public limited
company as Vikash Metal Limited vide fresh certificate of
incorporation dated 13th December, 2002 and was subsequently
renamed as Vikash Metal & Power Limited on the 22nd of
December 2003.

Important events in the History of the Company are as follows:

Year Events

1996 Incorporation
1997 Profit in the very first year of incorporation
2002 Converted into public limited company and alteration of
Memorandum of Association and fresh certificate of
incorporation.
2003 From being a company which traded in dolomite and iron
and steel products, the company ventured into
manufacture of sponge iron and the 1st Kiln with a capacity
to produce 100 TPD was commissioned.
2004 Commencement of Production of Kiln II in June 2004.

2006

-Vikash Metal & Power Limited has informed that the Company has appointed Miss Ruchika Jain as the Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of the Company with effect from December 01, 2006.

2007

-Vikash Metal & Power Ltd has informed that the Company has inked an MOU with the Bihar State Electricity Board (BSEB) for execution of 2X250MW thermal project in Begusarai on June 16, 2007.

2011

-The company Recommended payment of dividend @ 2.5% i.e. Rs. 0.25 per equity share of Rs.10/- each.
