Union Quality Plastics Ltd. Company History and Annual Growth Details

UNION QUALITY PLASTICS PRIVATE LIMITED ("The Company") was
incorporated on 28th July, 1984 at Bombay with the main
object of manufacturing of and dealing in (i) extruded,
injection moulded and blow- moulded articles from
polypropylene, polyethelene ( LD and HD), poly vinyl
chloride, polysterene and other thermoplastic and thermoset
resins and (ii) woven sacks, filaments and fibre fabrics
from polypropylene thermoplastic rawmaterial.

On incorporation, the Company took over the business of
UNION QUALITY PLASTICS, a partnership firm, which had an
existing capacity of 240 M T p. a. for the manufacturing of
HDPE/PP woven sacks. The installed capacity was further
increased to 1240 M T IN 1984-85. The expansion was
financed through internal accruals, promoters' equity and a
term loan from GSFC.

The Company was converted into a public limited company on
16th November, 1992 and the name changed to UNION QUALITY
PLASTICS LIMITED.
