TCI Industries Ltd. Company History and Annual Growth Details

The Company was originally incorporated in the year 1965 as Transport Corporation of India Private Limited. Subsequently the Company has changed its name to Transport Corporation of India Limited in the year 1974.

In 1998 the Company underwent Demerger, pursuant to the approved Scheme of Demerger by HonÂble High Court, Hyderabad and in the year 1999 the Company has changed its name to "TCI Industries Limited" (TCIIL).

1958

-Transport Corporation of India (TCI) was incorporated with one truck. It is an ISO 9001:2000 company, and is listed with premier stock exchanges like NSE and BSE.

1965

- Become a pvt ltd company.

1974

- Become a public limited company.

1985

- The company purchased first two ships.

1999

- Entered into a joint venture with Mitsui and Co of Japan for providing automobile logistics.

2006

- Shri S N Agarwal, Shri R K Agarwal and Dr Ashok Agarwal were appointed as the directors of the Company

2007

- The company had bagged the prestigious CII Award for Supply Chain Excellence for Excellence in Supply Chain Design, Re-engineering & Delivering value to customers.

- The Company had bagged the prestigious Express, Logistics & Supply Chain Conclave Award for ÂBest 3PL of the YearÂ. The Awards was a part of the Express, Logistics & Supply Chain Conclave held in Mumbai on 28th to 29th September 2007.

- XPS Logistics which is a part of TCI Industries Ltd is planning to expand its presence in the countries pharma sector by improving its marker share from current 30% to 50% in the next five years.

2012

-Mr. Siddhartha Agarwal and Mr. Dhruv Agarwal are been appointed as Alternate Director on the Board of the Company.

-Mr. Sunil K. Warerkar has been appointed as an Additional Director & Executive Director of the Company.

2014

-TCI Industries Ltd has informed that the Board had approved the appointment of Mr. Dhaval Mehta as Company Secretary & Chief Financial Officer of the Company
