SVA India Ltd. Company History and Annual Growth Details

The Company was promoted by the House of Manglas and incorporated on 27th April, 1981 as SVA Udyog Viniyog Limited and obtained its certificate of commencement on 11th May 1981. The Company offers various kinds of financial services, imports and exports, Financing Industrtal Enterprises, Investments, Trading, etc. The Company has been a Merchant Exporter since last five years dealing in items such as Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals, Spices, Marbles products etc. The Company has been involved in providing basic infrastructure to various industrial houses by giving warehousing facility at various industrIal zones. To suit the requirement of the client, the Company offers warehousing facilities of different kinds such as open warehousing space, closed ware-houses, air-conditioned warehouses to store perishable commodities etc. The Company was promotad by Mr. M.P. Gupta, Mr. S.K. Gupta and Mr. V.K. Gupta of Mangla group. The Mangla group has varied interest in export, import, financial services, real estate, etc.

The Company has obtained category II Merchant Banking status in November 1993. Since then the Company has been actively involved in handling public and rights issues as Co-managers, advisors, underwriters, project counsellors, etc. The other activities in the Merchant Banking Division are syndication of Bridge loan, marketing NRI and other firm placements etc. As per Prime ranking, the Company is ranked 55th in amount underwritten and 37th in contingent amount underwritten during the period April to December 1994. During this period it has underwritten 104 issues aggregating to Rs.9,80,50,000 and 7 issues contingently
underwritten aggregating to Rs.1,98,90,000. The Company is also ranked 3rd amongst Category II Merchant Bankers in association with mobilizing funds from the capital market (Source : Prime Statement from April to December 1994). The Company's corporate division has been active in mobilizing for its clients Intercorporate Deposits, counselling in
capital structuring, catering to the short term, long term resources requirements, loan syndication, etc. Tha consumer hire purchase division has contracted more than two hundred and fifty finance agreements of various consumer durables, through it chain of dealers. The Company has also entered into various lease deals and has a list of established
corporate clients.
