The company has been promoted by Shri Om Prakash Jindal, Shri Bharat Bhushan Jindal, Shri Mohanlal Jindal, Shri Tarsem Lal Jindal and Shri Rajinder Kumar Jindal.

STELCO STRIPS LIMITED was incorporated on 20th January, 1988 as a Private Limited Company and was subsequently converted into a Public Limited Company with effect from 12.6.1989. The company is presently engaged in the manufacture of CRCA Steel Strips of Mild Steel medium & high Carbon Steel. The capacity is now proposed to be increased to 16,000 M.T. per annum.

2002- At the meeting of the Board of Directors of Stelco Strips Ltd held on July 29, 2002 the Board of Directors of the company decided to offer, issue, and allot from time to time, in one or more tranches, on preferential basis

1) 4,50,000 equity shares of the face value of Rs 10 each to Century Fiscal Services Ltd
2) 2,00,000 equity shares of the face value of Rs 10 each to Samridhi Finlease P Ltd
3) 1,00,000 equity shares of the face vale of Rs 10 each to Jiwan Flora Ltd for cash at par or at such a price as may be determined in accordance with the prevalent SEBI guidelines whichever is higher.
