Sterling Securities Limited is engaged in financial services including
Leasing, Issue Management, Underwriting and Project counselling.
The Company got registration from Securities and Exchange Board of
India as Category Merchant Banker in May 1993.The Company also got
approval for Membership of National Stock Exchange and the said
membership is taken in the name of the Company's subsidiary,
namely Gopika Financers Company Limited.

PUBLIC ISSUE

The Company went for a Public Issue of 33,30,000 Equity Shares of Rs. 10
eachat a premium of Rs.5 per share of the Company during the month of March '94

SUBSIDIARY COMPANIES

The Company had the following subsidiaries.

(1) Gopika Financers Company Limited

(2) Sterling Lefins Limited

(3) Sterling Datamatics & Holdings Limited

(4) Sterling Share Brokers Limited

(5) Dadar properties & Finance Limited

Due to disinvestment in these companies these are no more subsidiaries.

2000 - The Company has signed an agreement with CDSL & NSDL for dematerialisation.
