YEAR EVENTS
1974 - The company was incorporated in at Mumbai. It was promoted by Mr. I.S. Gajra,
B. S. Gajra & Gajra Gears Pvt. Ltd.

- The company manufactures Ring Gears & Pinions, Differential Gears & Kits.

1983 - Sealed Quench Furnace & Rotary Furnace were commissioned.

- The company proposes to enter the passenger vehicle field in collaboration
with a French firm.

- Gajra Bevel Gears is the largest manufacturer in the replacement market with
its largest range & variety in the differential gear segment.

1992 - Operations were also affected due to heavy power custs during the second half of the
year 1991-92.

- During the year Company has issued 14% 95,000 Non-convertible Redeemable
Debentures of Rs.100/- each by way of private placement for augmenting working
capital requirement.

1993 - Working of the Company was severely affected by illegal strike of workers for 45 days.
Finally workers joined their duties Unconditionally.

- In place of conventional furnaces new modified Gas Carburising Furnaces have been
installed to reduce consumption of energy.

- Company developed and produced Cutting Tools for in-house consumption thereby
reducing its import which resulted in saving of foreign exchange on this account.

1994 - The Company introduced "Everest" Brand of Crown Wheel and Pinion which has better
life and durability. Company has also developed some new Crown Wheel and Pinions
for export market.

1995 - During the current year Company has received export excellence award for the year
1993-94 by Madhya Pradesh Importers and Exporters Association.

1996 - Modest expansion project with the Term Loan from Industrial Development Bank
of India (IDBI) was completed during the year, which will improve the capacity
utilisation.

- Company has acquired latest CM machine from Carl Zies, Germany, which will
enable the Company in speedy development of new range.

1997 - The Company has entered into technical collaboration agreement with
M/s Antonov Automotive Technologies Europe B.V. and M/s Antonov
Automotive Europe B.V. for manufacture of Automatic Transmissions for cars, LCVs
and HCVs.

1998 - During the year Automobile industry has passed through a severe recession which
compelled Company for several Price reductions.

- During the year Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI) has privately subscribed
200 Nos. of 18% Redeemable Non-convertible debentures of Rs. 1.00 lac each
amounting to Rs. 200.00 lacs.

- The Company is the first Gear Manufacturing Company in India to get ISO 9001
Certification from TUV of Germany.

- Company has successfully developed Automatic Transmission for Car.

1999 - Company has developed several Crown Wheel & Pinion, Differential Gears
for domestic and Export market.

2000 - The Board has issued further equity shares for an amount not
exceeding Rs 1.63 lakhs by way of private placement.
