On opening at 17,451, the 50-pack index climbed 270 points in a rally that was driven by Metals and Banknifty which rose 3.55 per cent and 2.13 per cent respectively. Nifty FMCG, Nifty IT and Nifty Auto also ended in green at 3.30 pm.
