Gold Rates UP On Bada Mangal After Rs 32,200 Crash: Check 24K, 22K, 18K Gold Prices In Mumbai, Delhi, Lucknow
Gold prices in India surged sharply on Tuesday after crashing by Rs 29,500 and Rs 32,200 in 100 grams of 22 carats and 24 carats in the previous day. However, silver prices plunged sharply on the day. In cities like Lucknow, Mumbai and Delhi, gold and silver hold significance due to celebration of first Bada Mangal aka Budhwa Mangal, which commences on May 13 and will continue for a month. This occasion is mostly auspicious to devotees of Lord Hanuman.
Also, gold prices in these three cities tracked the rally in international prices which was due to an increase in demand ahead of key inflation data.

Gold Prices And Silver Prices In Lucknow:
10 grams gold price surged by Rs 150 in 22 carat to Rs 87,800, while 100 grams price was up by Rs 1,500 to Rs 8,78,000. 24 carat's 100 grams gold price climbed by Rs 1,600 to Rs 9,57,700, and 10 grams price surged by Rs 160 to Rs 95,770. 18 carats gold price zoomed by Rs 1,200 in 100 grams to Rs 7,18,400 and higher by Rs 120 to Rs 71,840 per 10 grams on May 13th.
Gold prices fell by Rs 2,950 and Rs 29,500 in 10 grams and 100 grams of 22 carats, while the prices were down by Rs 3,220 and Rs 32,200 per 10 grams and 100 grams in 24 carats ahead of Bada Mangal.
Silver prices fell sharply by Rs 1,000 to Rs 97,900 per 1kg in Lucknow on Tuesday. 100 grams and 10 grams silver prices also dropped by Rs 100 and Rs 10 to Rs 9,790 and Rs 979.
Gold Prices And Silver Prices In Delhi:
In 24 carats, 22 carats and 18 carats, gold prices surged by Rs 1,200 to Rs 1,600 in 100 grams, and higher by Rs 160 to Rs 120 in 10 grams in Delhi.
The gold price of 10 grams is at Rs 95,770 in 24 carat, at Rs 87,800 in 22 carat, and at Rs 71,840 in 18 carat. The gold prices of 100 grams is at Rs 8,78,000 in 22 carat, at Rs 9,57,700 in 24 carat, and at Rs 7,18,400 in 18 carat.
In Delhi, 1kg silver price dipped by Rs 1,000 to Rs 97,900 and by Rs 100 to Rs 9,790 in 100 grams. 10 grams silver price is down by Rs 10 to Rs 979, and the cheapest silver is priced at Rs 97.90 per 1 gram.
Gold Prices and Silver Prices In Mumbai:
Also surging by Rs 120 to Rs 160 in 10 grams and higher by Rs 1,200 to Rs 1,600 per 100 grams, gold prices however is cheaper in Mumbai than compared to Delhi and Lucknow.
24 carat gold prices are at Rs 95,620 per 10 grams and at Rs 9,56,200 per 100 grams. While gold prices at Rs 87,650 in 10 grams and at Rs 8,76,500 per 100 grams in 22 carats. Lastly, 18 carat gold prices are at Rs 71,720 in 10 grams and at Rs 7,17,200 per 100 grams.
Here as well, 1kg silver price was down by Rs 1000 to Rs 97,900.
Gold prices are similar in Lucknow and Delhi. While silver prices are similar in all the three cities.
Bada Mangal 2025:
Budhwa Mangal or Bada Mangal is a several weeks long festival celebrated in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India, on every Tuesday in the Hindu month of Jyeshtha. According to local beliefs, Hanuman met Lord Rama for the first time on a Tuesday in the month of Jyeshtha. Since then it is believed that all Tuesdays of this month are auspicious. On this special day, kirtans are held in temples and bhandaras are organized for the devotees at various temples and places, as per Wikipedia.
The first Budhwa Mangal has commenced on May 13, 2025. This will continue on all Tuesdays till June 10, 2025.
