Swiggy Makes Guinness World Record, Delivers 11,000 Vada Pavs In Partnership With Singham Again

Swiggy, one of India's leading food delivery platforms, has achieved a Guinness World Record by delivering 11,000 vada pavs to underprivileged children across Mumbai. In partnership with the team of the upcoming movie Singham Again, this heartwarming initiative brought joy and nourishment to children in various schools, all while setting a new milestone for large-scale food delivery.

The vada pavs, a popular local street food, were delivered from MM Mithaiwala to children supported by the Robin Hood Army, a non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to combating hunger by redistributing surplus food. This feat was part of a larger initiative by Swiggy to expand its services and showcase its newly launched "XL Fleet," which is designed for handling large-scale orders.

The first order of vada pavs was delivered at the Airport High School & Junior College in Vile Parle, where Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn, director Rohit Shetty, and Swiggy Co-founder Phani Kishan personally received the delivery. Devgn and Shetty, who are both involved in the upcoming Singham Again movie, were on hand to celebrate the moment and participate in distributing the vada pavs to the children.

The vada pavs were then delivered to various schools supported by the Robin Hood Army, with the distribution spanning areas such as Bandra, Juhu, Andheri East (Chandivali and Chakala), Malad, and Borivali. These efforts ensured that the initiative reached a wide audience of underprivileged kids, making the event both impactful and memorable.

Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Phani Kishan expressed his excitement about the achievement, writing, "When @Swiggy meets Singham, world records are meant to be broken! Swiggy created a @GWR Record by delivering 11,000 vada pavs in a single order to children at Robin Hood Army schools across Mumbai!"

Kishan further emphasized the role of Swiggy's newly introduced XL Fleet, which was pivotal in handling such a massive order. "This incredible feat was made possible by our newly launched XL Fleet, which is designed to handle large-scale orders for all festive and party needs. And in true XL style, we had the legends of Singham - Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn - celebrate and bring a huge smile to the kids at Airport High School," he added.

Rohit Shetty, the director of Singham Again, expressed his pride in being part of the record-breaking event.
