Silver Rate Today Hits All-Time High; MCX Silver, Gold Prices Jump on 1 December 2025 on Fed Rate-Cut Optimism

Domestic futures markets saw a robust opening for gold and silver prices on Monday. Gold futures for February were up, trading at Rs 1,30,383 per 10 grams, a rise of Rs 879 or 0.68%. Meanwhile, silver futures for March surged to Rs 1,78, per kg, marking an increase of Rs 3,639 early in the session. The upward momentum was influenced by a weaker dollar, anticipated rate cuts by the U.S. Federal Reserve, and a rupee that hit a record low against the dollar.

Silver Rate at All-Time High; Check Latest Silver Prices on 1 December 2025

On 1 December 2025, silver prices in India showed a positive movement in the futures market. The SILVER FUTCOM contract, expiring on 05 March 2026, traded in the 1 kilogram lot size and reflected an upward trend during the session. The contract opened at Rs 1,77,858, setting a firm tone for the day.

During intraday trading, silver touched a high of Rs 1,78,649, indicating strong buying interest. The low for the day stood at Rs 1,75,867, showing moderate volatility within the session. The Last Traded Price (LTP) was recorded at Rs 1,76,550, while the previous session's close was Rs 1,74,981.

Overall, silver prices gained Rs 1,569 for the day, marking a 0.90% increase in the contract's value.

Retail Silver Rate in India Today

On Monday, silver prices in India witnessed an upward trend across various quantities. The price of 1 gram of silver on 1st December 2025 rose to Rs 188, up by Rs 3 from yesterday's Rs 185. Similarly, 8 grams of silver traded at Rs 1,504, marking a gain of Rs 24 compared to the previous day.

For larger quantities, 10 grams of silver on December 1 are priced at Rs 1,880, up Rs 30 from yesterday's Rs 1,850. The 100-gram silver rate climbed to Rs 18,800, reflecting a daily increase of Rs 300, while 1 kilogram or 1,000 grams of silver surged to Rs 1,88,000, gaining Rs 3,000 from the previous session.

MCX Gold Price Today

On1 December 2025, gold futures in India showed a modest upward movement. The GOLD FUTCOM contract, expiring on 05 February 2026, was traded in 10-gram lots and opened at Rs 1,29,999.

During the session, the contract recorded a low of Rs 1,29,900 and a high of Rs 1,30,794, while the Last Traded Price (LTP) stood at Rs 1,30,195. The previous session had closed at Rs 1,29,504, indicating a daily gain of Rs 691, or 0.53%.

Gold Rate in India Today on 1 December 2025

On Monday, 1 December 2025, gold prices in India edged higher across all major karats. The 24K gold price per gram rose to Rs 13,048, up Rs 66 from the previous session. For a standard 100 gram bar, the 24K gold price would amount to Rs 13,04,800.

The 22K gold rate per gram increased by Rs 60, reaching Rs 11,960. This means that 100 grams of 22K gold would cost Rs 11,96,000, marking a steady gain for investors and buyers. Similarly, the 18K gold price per gram moved up by Rs 49, trading at Rs 9,786. For 100 grams, 18K gold would be priced at Rs 9,78,600.

"Silver prices are expected to rise. One can buy at 177000 with a stop loss of 175000 for the target 180000-182500," as per Nirmal Bang Securities outlook report.
