Shareholders To Get Rs 156 Special Interim Dividend — Record Date Announced; Buy Akzo Nobel Shares?
Following the announcement of its highest-ever payout, a one-time special interim dividend for FY25-26, Akzo Nobel India, which has been in India for 70 years, will be closely watched. The Board of Directors "Declared a one-time Special Interim Dividend of Rs. 156/- (Rupees One Hundred and Fifty Six only) per equity share for the Financial Year 2025-26 out of the retained earnings of the Company as on 30th June 2025 and including the income realized from slump sale transactions (as earlier approved by the shareholders) of the Company, for the purpose of expediency. This Special Interim Dividend shall be paid within 30 days from today," said the company in a stock exchange filing on 4th August 2025.
Akzo Nobel India Dividend Record Date
The Board of Directors "Fixed Monday, 11th August 2025, as the Record Date for determining entitlement of members to the aforesaid one-time special interim dividend for the Financial Year 2025-26. A member, whose name is recorded in the Register of Members or in the Register of Beneficial Owners maintained by the Depositories as on the close of business hours of Monday, 11th August 2025, shall be entitled to the said dividend," Akzo Nobel India confirmed in a regulatory filing.
Akzo Nobel India Q1FY26 Financials
In the first quarter of the current fiscal year, Akzo Nobel India's net profit dropped 20.6% YoY to Rs 91 crore from Rs 114.6 crore in the same period the previous year. In Q1FY26, revenue was Rs 995 crore, down 4% from Rs 1,036.3 crore in Q1FY25. In the June 2025 quarter, the company's EBITDA plummeted 20.4% to Rs 134.4 crore, while its margins shrank from 16.3% to 13.5%.
Akzo Nobel India Target Price
"Akzo Nobel is consolidating above its support at ₹3,620. Resistance is placed at ₹3,750, and a breakout could push the stock toward ₹3,850. Momentum indicators remain neutral, suggesting sideways action in the near term. A dip toward ₹3,650-₹3,670 can be used for accumulation with a stop-loss below ₹3,600. Sustaining above ₹3,750 will confirm fresh upside momentum," commented Riyank Arora, technical analyst at Mehta Equities Ltd.
