Rs 27 Dividend: Tata's NBFC Jumps 8% On Ex-Dividend Date; Is It Best Performing Tata Group Stock?

Tata Investment Corporation Ltd., the NBFC company of Tata Group, witnessed a strong surge on Tuesday, June 11, as the stock price turned ex-dividend for a dividend payout of Rs 27 per share for the financial year 2024-25. Tata Investment stock gained over 7.5% on its ex-date.

However, compared to other Tata stocks, Tata Investment has emerged as the best-performing Tata Group stock on a month-on-month basis.

Tata Investment Share Price:

On NSE, the Tata Investment stock closed at Rs 7,325 per share, up by 6.5% with a market cap of Rs 37,061.05 crore. During the trading hours of June 10, the stock climbed by nearly Rs 518.5 or 7.51% to hit an intraday high of Rs 7,425 apiece.

This stock is now nearing its 52-week high of Rs 8,074.25 apiece.

Tata Investment Dividend:

Tata Investment turned ex-dividend for a final dividend payout of Rs 27 per share for FY25. The record date and ex-dividend date were on June 10.

The eligible investors will be:

- all beneficial owners in respect of shares held in dematerialized form as per details furnished by the depositories for this purpose as of the close of business hours on Tuesday, June 10, 2025;

- all members in respect of shares held in physical form after giving effect to valid transmission or transposition requests lodged with the Company as of the close of business hours on Tuesday, June 10, 2025.

The company plans to pay Rs 27 per share dividend on or after Wednesday, July 2, 2025.

The latest dividend by Tata Investment is lower by Rs 1 from the Rs 28 per share dividend paid in FY24. Also, the company has rewarded investors with dividends of Rs 48 per share and Rs 55 per share in the 2023 and 2022 financial years. The highest dividend payout was Rs 55 by the company.

Is Tata Investment the Best-Performing Tata Group Stock?

Data from NSE showed that, on a month-on-month basis, Tata Investment stock gained by a whopping 21.60% as of now. The stock price was around Rs 6,024 on May 12, 2025.

This is better returns than compared to other major Tata Group stocks in a month. For instance, the Nifty India Corporate Group Index - Tata Group 25% Cap has surged by 4.12% in 30 days.

In the Tata index on NSE, stocks like Trent and Tata Elxsi have surged 15.7% and 15.6% respectively in 30 days. While Tata Steel zoomed by 10.2%, Indian Hotels gained 8.5%, and Tata Power advanced by 9.5%. Other Tata stocks like Tata Motors, Titan and Tata Consumer gained by 1% to 1.5%. On the other hand, TCS is the only stock on the index, which is down by 0.5%.

Tata Investment is not part of this index, however, its performance has outperformed its siblings.

Also, data from Trendlyne showed that the delivery volumes in Tata Investment have climbed by 30.09% in a month, up 24.5% in the week, and nearly 27% up on June 10th alone.
