Gold rates today slipped slightly, offering some relief after yesterday's dramatic surge. The recent rally in gold prices is due to a spike in demand for the yellow metal as the US dollar index weakened. During this week alone, gold prices in India jumped by nearly Rs. 5,400 per 100 grams.

The 24-carat gold rate in Bangalore & Chennai surged to an all-time high in October this year. Gold rates in other major cities are experiencing a similar rise in yellow metal rates.

Gold Rate in Chennai Today

On November 14, Friday, the 22-carat gold rate in Chennai declined by Rs. 600 per 10 grams to cost Rs. 118,400 per 10 grams. While the 24-carat gold prices in Chennai today fell by Rs. 660 and are currently retailing at Rs. 118,400 per 10 grams. Similarly, the 18-carat gold rate today also declined by Rs 650 per 10 grams to cost Rs 98,750.

In bulk terms, the 100 grams of 22-carat gold stood at Rs. 11,84,000 after dropping Rs. 6000. While the 24-carat gold price in Chennai per 100 grams is now retailing at Rs. 12,91,900, which dropped by Rs. 6600.

Gold rate in Bangalore today

The 22-carat gold rate in Bangalore fell by Rs. 700 per 10 grams, bringing the price down to Rs. 117,200 per 10 grams. Meanwhile, the 24-carat gold price in Bangalore dropped by Rs. 770, now retailing at Rs. 127,850 per 10 grams. The 18-carat gold also saw a decline of Rs. 580 per 10 grams, currently priced at Rs. 95,890.

MCX Gold and Silver Futures Update

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold futures slated to mature on December 5, 2025, are trading at Rs. 126,368 after slipping by 0.30%. Similarly, silver futures, which are set to expire on December 5th, 2025, fell by 0.72% and are currently trading at Rs 161,305 at 11:20 AM on Friday.

Silver prices in Chennai today slipped slightly. 1 kg of silver in Chenani costs Rs 1,80,000 after falling by Rs 3000.

Bangalore silver prices today also slipped slightly on Nov 14 1 kg of silver in Bangalore fell by Rs. 100 to cost Rs. 1,73,100. While 100 g of silver rates in Banglore cost Rs 17,310

Gold Price Target & Expert Analysis

"Gold slipped toward $4,160 per ounce after hitting three-week highs, as rising Treasury yields and a broad market sell-off cooled expectations for imminent Fed rate cuts. Despite a nearly 5% weekly gain, cautious Fed comments and profit-taking led traders to trim the probability of a December easing to about 50%" as per a commodity report from the Way to Wealth research desk.

"On the technical front, MCX gold continued its upward momentum in yesterday's session; however, it closed after giving up the majority of its gains, forming an inverted hammer candlestick pattern on the daily chart. Some consolidation may be expected after a strong rally, though the broader momentum and trend remain positive. Immediate support is placed at 126200-124150, while resistance is seen at 127940-129480," the report further added.

Spot Gold Prices + Spot Silver Price Today

As per the latest Reuters commodity report, "Spot gold was up 0.7% at $4,201.70 per ounce as of 0452 GMT. Bullion is up 5% so far this week. Spot silver rose 1.3% to $53 per ounce."
