South India's gold prices saw a sharp increase today, Tuesday, October 7. All purities of gold showed record-high prices in places like Hyderabad, Chennai, and Bangalore. Gold was trading close to record highs on the global market on Tuesday, hovering around $3,960 per ounce, as demand for safe-haven assets was bolstered by political unrest, economic uncertainty, and prospects of further rate cuts in the US.

Gold Rates In Chennai Today
Today, 24 carat gold costs Rs 12,218 per gram, 22 carat gold costs Rs 11,200 per gram, and 18 carat gold costs Rs 9,275 per gram in Chennai.
Gold rates in Chennai today reached Rs 1,22,180 for 10 grams of 24k compared to Rs 1,21,370 yesterday, similarly 24k of 100 grams of gold will cost Rs 12,21,800 in Chennai today, marking a record high costlier price of Rs 8,100 which was Rs 12,13,700 yesterday.
Gold rates in Chennai today reached Rs 1,12,000 for 22k of 10 grams compared to Rs 1,11,250 yesterday, similarly 22k of 100 grams of gold will cost Rs 11,20,000 in Chennai today, which was Rs 11,12,500 representing a price jump of Rs 7,500 overnight.
In Chennai, the price of 18k of 10 grams of gold will be Rs 92,750 today, up from Rs 92,100 yesterday. Similarly, the price of 18k of 100 gms of gold will be Rs 9,27,500 today, up from Rs 9,21,000 yesterday, indicating a Rs 6,500 price increase.

A gram of 24 carat gold costs Rs 12,202 in Hyderabad today, while a gram of 22 carat gold costs Rs 11,185 and an 18 carat gold weighs Rs 9,152.
The price of gold has risen substantially in comparison to yesterday, according to today's 24 carat gold rate per gram in Hyderabad on October 7, 2025. One gram of 24-carat gold costs Rs 12,202 today, which is Rs 125 more than it was yesterday at Rs 12,077 level. The price of 10 grams increased from Rs 1,20,770 to Rs 1,22,020 in a single day, indicating a notable rise of Rs 1,250.
The price of 22-carat gold in Hyderabad as of October 7, 2025, is Rs 11,185 per gram, which is Rs 115 more than it was yesterday at Rs 11,070. Whereas, the price of 18-carat gold has increased by Rs 94 from Rs 9,058 to Rs 9,152 per gram.

The price of gold in Bangalore today is Rs 12,202 per gram for 24 karat gold, Rs 11,185 per gram for 22 karat gold and Rs 9,152 per gram for 18 karat gold. 24k of 10 grams of gold will cost Rs 1,22,020 compared to Rs 1,20,770 yesterday, representing a price jump of Rs 1,250.
The price of gold in Bangalore today is Rs 1,11,850 for 22k of 10 grams compared to Rs 1,10,700, representing a price jump of Rs 1,150 whereas 18k of 10 grams of gold rates reached Rs 91,520 compared to Rs 90,580 yesterday, representing a price jump of Rs 940 overnight.

"On the technical front, MCX Gold continues to make fresh all-time highs, with the trend remaining bullish across multiple timeframes. The RSI indicates strong bullish momentum, and prices are walking the upper Bollinger Band - a sign of very strong upward strength. There are no signs of weakness on the charts at present. Immediate support is placed at 118,900, while resistance is seen at 120,600-122,050- 124,500. Since the overall trend is bullish, traders can consider buying MCX Gold near 118,900 for targets of 120,600, 122,050, and 124,500. Any drop below 116,780 will warrant a stoploss," commented Abhishek M Pelu - Research Analyst at Way2Wealth Brokers.
Gold Price Fundamental Outlook Today
"Gold and silver prices are trading slightly higher today on the international bourses. We expect precious metals prices on Indian bourses to trade range-bound to higher for the day; as gold prices clinched a fresh record - pushing closer to $4,000 an ounce - as the US government shutdown and a political crisis in France injected more uncertainty into financial markets," commented the research analysts of Nirmal Bang Securities.
