Gold rates in India dropped significantly, with 24 carat gold prices falling by up to Rs 1,100. Also, 22 carar gold rate dipped up to Rs 1,000. On Monday, in the early hours, international comex gold inched up to trade around $4,080 per ounce, a mild support from 2 consecutive days of decline. On the other hand, in the early trade of November 17, MCX gold and silver performed in a narrow range. MCX gold holds around the Rs 123,500 mark.
Among other commodities, copper and aluminum prices are down marginally. However, zinc traded on a positive note. But crude oil at MCX slipped by 1%. The MCX gold price is likely to range from Rs 1.24 lakh to near the Rs 1.28 lakh mark in the trading week from November 17 to November 21.
This week, investors will await a host of US economic data and closely watch the movement around the labor market. Spot silver price nears $51 per ounce.
Last week on Friday, MCX gold price with December 2025 expiry, ended at Rs 1,23,377 per 10 grams on November 14, down by Rs 77 or 0.06%. The correction came back after the bullion crossed Rs 1,27,000 per 10 grams mark during the trading hours.
In November so far, silver has outperformed gold prices.
