Despite ongoing trade talks between the US and China, US tariff concerns have kept investors on edge and boosting gold's safe haven rally. Gold emerges as the safest option for traders amid turbulent times. Back in India, rising gold rate today is likely to deter the sentiment among gold buyers.

Gold Rate in India Today, June 11

The price of 24 karat gold stood at Rs 98400 per 10 gram on Wednesday, after increasing by Rs 820 per 10 gram. As a result, 100 grams of 24 karat gold has become expensive by Rs 8200. 22 karat gold rate in India today increased by Rs 750 to Rs 90200 per 10 gram. Likewise, the price of 18 karat gold rate today surged by Rs 610 to Rs 73800 per 10 gram.

Gold rate in India has surged nearly more than 25% as it followed the international gold price trend which is on fire since the beginning of year 2025. Gold price rally paralleled with rising global uncertainty due to trade tensions, geopolitical conflicts and stock market volatility.

Commenting on the impact of international gold price trajectory on domestic prices, brokerage Nirmal Bank noted, "We expect precious metals prices on Indian bourses to trade range-bound to slightly higher for the day; as gold prices edged higher even after the US and China said they had agreed on a plan to ease trade tensions during talks in London."

In major Indian cities, the price for 24 karat gold is consistent at ₹9,840 per gram in Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kerala, Pune, and Vadodara. However, Delhi and Ahmedabad show a slight variation with prices at ₹9,855 and ₹9,845 respectively. The 22 karat gold rate follows a similar pattern across these cities.

Meanwhile, the price of 24, 22, 18 karat gold in Delhi stood at Rs 9855 per gram, Rs 9035 per gram, and Rs 7393 per gram. Likewise, the price of 24, 22, and 18 karat gold rate in Mumbai increased to Rs 9840 per gram, Rs 9020 per gram and Rs 7380 per gram.

Silver Rate in India Today, June 11

While gold rates in India surged significantly on Wednesday, silver prices remained stagnant today. The price of silver stood at Rs 109 per gram and at Rs 109000 per kilogram. Silver emerges as a cheaper alternative for jewellery buyers whenever there has been a significant rise in gold prices.

International Gold Rate Today

The international gold price increased slightly and traded around $3,330 per ounce on Wednesday, according to Trading Economics. International price of the commodity moved sideways as progress in US-China trade talks brought a sense of relief among investors. However, a prolonged impact of the US tariff uncertainty kept investors cautious.
