Gold Prices India, May 25: Yellow Metal Gets Cheaper After Correction, Check Latest Prices

Gold prices in India today remained unchanged on May 25, 2024. Yellow metal prices in the country have been witnessing more decline than surge amid weak global cues and declining possibility of US Federal Reserve slashing rates early as reflected by the latest meeting minutes. In last 10 days, gold prices witnessed more decline than rally. 10 grams of 22K gold prices in last 10 days fell by Rs 2750 and surged by Rs 2000 thus clearing showing the precious metal recorded more decline than surge.

22 carat gold prices today is retailing at Rs 66,400/10 grams and 100 grams of 22 carat precious metal is quoting at Rs 6,64,000 in the country. 24 carat gold prices in India today stood at Rs 72,440/10 grams and 100 grams of yellow metal prices stood at Rs 7,24,400.

18 carat yellow metal prices in India today stood at Rs 54,330/10 grams and 100 grams of 18k gold prices are quoting at Rs 5,43,300.

Spot Gold Prices Today: Spot gold rose 0.4% to $2,338.67 per ounce as of 10:37 a.m. ET (1437 GMT) as the U.S. dollar index slipped 0.3%, making gold relatively less expensive for other currency holders. U.S. gold futures were up 0.2% to $2,340.40.

Silver Prices Today: Silver prices India witnessed decline today. 1 kg silver prices got cheaper by Rs 500 to Rs 91,500 and 100 grams of silver prices today are retailing at Rs 9,150 after falling by Rs 50.

According to Jateen Trivedi, VP Research Analyst - Commodity and Currency, LKP Securities, "this decline is primarily due to the reduced likelihood of the Fed cutting rates early, as indicated by the recent meeting minutes. Despite this pullback, the overall rally in gold remains strong, and this week's decline should be viewed as a buying opportunity, with base support at Rs 69,000. If prices fall below Rs 69,000, a further selloff towards Rs 66,000 could be expected."

According to Reuters, as hopes for US interest rate cut has begun to decline, gold prices soared on Friday but were on track to dip for the first time in three weeks.

Gold price today remained unchanged, fell by Rs 900 on May 24, declined by Rs 1000 on May 23, stayed steady on May 22, fell by Rs 600 on May 21, jumped by Rs 500 on May 20, surged by Rs 800 on May 18, declined by Rs 250 on May 17, witnessed sharp jump by Rs 700 by Rs May 16, soared by Rs 400 on May 15, and declined by Rs 400 on April 14.
