Gold Prices Break Records Again: Check Today's 24K, 22K, 18K Gold Rates in Chennai & Hyderabad
Gold prices this morning jumped again to a new record high after the volatility seen last week. During the last 15 days of December alone, the gold rate jumped by 4%, reaching a new record high level as the year came to an end. Gold prices this year have been on a roll, as they rose more than 72%; similarly, silver prices have risen by 119%, giving massive returns to investors.

Meanwhile, in the international market, spot gold prices also jumped above $4300 per ounce, trading near record highs as the rate cut was announced by the Fed. Spot silver is currently trading stable after a record rally last week.
What is the gold rate in Chennai today, on December 15?
The pure 24-carat gold rate in Chennai today surged by Rs. 820 per 10 grams to cost Rs. 134,730 per 10 grams. While the standard gold or the 22-carat gold price in Chennai today jumped by Rs. 750 per 10 grams to cost Rs. 123,500 per 10 grams. Similarly, the 18-carat gold rate today also increased by Rs 130 per 10 grams, and it currently retails for Rs 92,380 per 10 grams.
And just like that, 100 grams of 24-carat gold in Chennai cost Rs 13,47,300 after surging Rs 8200. While the 22-carat gold price in India per 100 grams is now retailing at Rs 123,500 after registering a rise of Rs 7500 per 100 grams.
Gold rate in Hyderabad today
The gold rate in Hyderabad today saw a slight increase in prices. The 22-carat gold price in Hyderabad stands at Rs. 12,350 per gram or Rs. 123,500 per 10 grams, while the 24-carat gold rate in Chennai is Rs. 13,473 per gram, or Rs. 134,730 per 10 grams.
Silver Rate in Hyderabad, December 15
Silver prices in Hyderabad today jumped after being stable yesterday. The current silver rate in Hyderabad is at Rs 213,000 per kilogram after rising by Rs 3000. While 100 g of silver rates in Hyderabad cost Rs. 21,300.

Silver prices in Chennai today also spiked by Rs. 3000 to cost Rs. 213,000. While 100 g of silver cost Rs. 21,300.
MCX Gold and Silver Futures Update
Gold futures prices at the Multi Commodity Exchange, which are expected to mature on February 5th, are currently trading at Rs. 135,096 per 10 grams, rising by 1.10%. Similarly, silver futures slated to mature on March 5th jumped today by 1.74% to trade at Rs. 196,200 per kg.
"MCX Gold Feb is expected to rise towards the Rs. 133,000 level as long as it stays above the Rs. 131,000 level. A move above Rs. 133,000, it would rise towards Rs. 134,500. MCX Silver March is expected to rise towards the Rs. 199,500-Rs. 200,000 zone as long as it stays above the Rs. 194,500 level. A move above Rs. 200,000 would open the doors towards Rs. 202,500, according to the ICICI Commodity Report.
Spot Gold and Spot Silver Price Update
According to Reuters, "Spot gold rose 0.4% to $4,320.65 an ounce by 0319 GMT. Bullion has climbed about 64% so far this year. Spot silver rose 0.8% to $62.48 per ounce."
