Gold Price In Chennai/Hyderabad Today: 22-24K/100 Gms Gold Jumps Over Rs 5,000; 18K Up Rs 4K; Silver Falls
On Thursday, April 3, following the announcement of the US reciprocal tariff process, gold prices on the domestic market experienced a significant spike. Gold touched a record $3,164/ounce on the global market as attention on upcoming nonfarm payrolls for Fed policy hints grew due to weak U.S. economic data. Gold prices are predicted to stay unstable in the upcoming sessions following President Donald Trump's announcement of "reciprocal" tariffs, which impose a minimum duty of 10% on imports that are more severe than projected.
Gold & Silver Prices In Chennai & Hyderabad Today
Today, 24 carat gold costs Rs 9,338 per gram, 22 carat gold costs Rs 8,560 per gramme, and 18 carat gold costs Rs 7,060 per gram in Chennai and Hyderabad. The price of 22k of 10 grams of gold in Chennai and Hyderabad climbed to Rs 85,600 on Thursday from Rs 85,100 on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the price of 22k of 100 gms of gold in the cities would cost Rs 8,56,000 today, up Rs 5,000 from Rs 8,51,000 yesterday.

While 24k of 100 grams of gold will cost Rs 9,33,800 in the cities today compared to Rs 9,28,400 yesterday, representing a price increase of Rs 5,400, 24k of 10 grams of gold prices in Chennai and Hyderabad reached Rs 93,380 on Thursday compared to Rs 92,840 on Wednesday, representing a price jump of Rs 540.
While the price of 18k of 100 gms of gold in Chennai and Hyderabad climbed by Rs 4,000 to Rs 7,06,000 on Thursday from Rs 7,02,000 on Wednesday, 18k of 10 grams of gold would cost Rs 70,600 today compared to Rs 70,200 yesterday.
Silver currently costs Rs 112 per gram and Rs 1,12,000 per kilogram in Chennai and Hyderabad. In the cities, 100 grams of silver would cost Rs 11,200, as opposed to Rs 11,400 yesterday.
MCX Gold Outlook Today
"Technically, MCX Gold has seen some cool-off after a strong rally. It is consolidating near the first Fibonacci resistance area. It had its first negative session after a good seven-day winning streak, indicating some consolidation in the coming trading sessions. Support is placed at 90400/89400, and resistance is placed at 91400. A range-bound move is expected for the upcoming trading sessions," said Abhishek M Pelu - Research Analyst at Way2Wealth Brokers.

"Gold and silver prices are trading range-bound to slightly higher today on the international bourses. We expect precious metals prices on Indian bourses to trade slightly higher for the day, after President Donald Trump unveiled his sweeping "reciprocal" tariffs, imposing a minimum levy of 10% on imports and stoking fears it may trigger a global economic slowdown," the research team of Nirmal Bang Securities commented.
