Donald Trump Jr. arrives in India to visit the Taj Mahal with a large delegation and will later attend a wedding in Udaipur. Security measures have been enhanced for his visits.

Donald Trump Jr., son of the US President, is set visit the Taj Mahal in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, on Thursday. He will arrive at Kheria Airport around 1:30 pm via a private jet before heading to the iconic monument. This visit marks his second trip to India, following his previous visit in February 2018.

The high-profile visit includes 126 special guests from nearly 40 countries, all of whom will accompany him during the tour of the 17th-century marvel. With such a large and distinguished delegation, local authorities have intensified preparations to ensure a smooth and secure visit.

Security Measures for the Visit

To ensure safety during this significant event, approximately 200 police officers have been stationed at key locations throughout Agra. The security team includes officers of ACP and ADC rank who are responsible for managing crowds and securing routes.

The Taj Mahal has long been a favourite destination for the Trump family. During his visit to India six years ago, President Donald Trump visited Agra with his family. He was so impressed by the monument's architectural beauty that he wrote "Incredible" in its visitor book, garnering widespread attention.

Upcoming Wedding in Udaipur

Later this week, Trump Jr. is expected to travel to Udaipur for an Indian-American couple's destination wedding. A US security advance team is already in Udaipur reviewing arrangements ahead of his arrival. The wedding celebrations are scheduled for November 21 and 22.

The central ceremony will take place at Jag Mandir Palace on Lake Pichola, with additional events planned at Manek Chowk inside the City Palace complex. According to sources cited by The Stateman, Trump Jr. will be staying at The Leela Palace Udaipur during his visit.

Enhanced Security in Udaipur

In preparation for Trump Jr.'s visit, Rajasthan authorities have bolstered security throughout Udaipur and along the route to the airport. Several political leaders, celebrities, and other prominent guests are expected to attend the two-day festivities.
