Bank Holiday On Ganesh Chaturthi 2023: Banks To Remain Closed In These Cities Tomorrow
Banks will remain closed in India on Tuesday (September 19) on account of Ganesh Chaturthi. The festival will begin on September 19 and end on September 28, 2023. Ganesh Chaturthi is a popular Hindu festival which marks the birth of Lord Ganesha.
To mark this occasion, banks in different Indian cities will remain closed on September 18, 19, and 20 according to the Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) holiday schedule for the fiscal year 2023-24. This time since there is a lot of confusion prevailing around the exact date of Ganesh Chaturthi 2023. In this article, we have brought you the list of days when banks in different Indian cities will remain shut on account of this festival. It is advisable to finish all your bank-related work today, in order to avoid any last-minute inconvenience.

September 18: Banks will remain closed in Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad.
September 19: Banks to remain closed in Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bhubaneswar, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji
September 20: Banks to remain closed in Bhubaneswar and Panaji.
It is worth mentioning that this time it is more important to track the Bank holiday calendar as the RBI has set September 30 as the last date to exchange or deposit your Rs 2000 notes. On May 19 this year the central bank announced its decision to withdraw from circulation its highest denomination notes.
Is the Stock Market Closed Tomorrow?
According to the list of stock market holidays 2023 available on the BSE website there will be no trading on NSE and BSE on Tuesday on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi 2023.
One should note that trading in the commodity segment will remain suspended for the first half i..e from morning 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Tuesday but it will resume trading from 5:00 PM onwards. Meanwhile, the Indian stock market will also remain closed on October 2, 2023, for Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti.
