Rise in Silver Rate in India Today With Over 22% Spike in October: Check Latest Silver Prices in Top Cities
Continuing its strong upward momentum this festive season, silver prices in India witnessed a sharp increase on October 13, 2025. The white metal is trading at Rs 185 per gram on Monday, marking a rise of Rs 5 compared to the previous session. On a per kilogram basis, silver prices jumped by Rs 5,000, reaching Rs 1,85,000 per kg.

The price of 1 gram of silver today rose to Rs 185, up Rs 5 from the previous day's rate of Rs 180. For mid-range purchases, 8 grams of silver were priced at Rs 1,480, reflecting an increase of Rs 40 from Rs 1,440 yesterday. Similarly, the popular 10 gram denomination reached Rs 1,850, up by Rs 50 compared to Rs 1,800 in the previous session.

Larger quantities of silver also witnessed significant jumps on October 13, 2025. The price for 100 grams of silver climbed to Rs 18,500, a gain of Rs 500 from the previous rate of Rs 18,000. Meanwhile, bulk buyers saw 1 kilogram of silver priced at a steep Rs 1,85,000, marking a substantial rise of Rs 5,000 from Rs 1,80,000 the day before.

Silver rates are not uniform across the country and vary from city to city. In Chennai, Hyderabad and Kerala, the price of silver is higher, with 10 grams costing Rs 1,950, and 1 kilogram priced at Rs 1,95,000.
On the other hand, cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, Pune, Vadodara and Ahmedabad are witnessing slightly lower silver prices, with 10 grams priced at Rs 1,850 and 1 kilogram at Rs 1,85,000.

In Chennai, silver prices remained on the higher side, with 10 grams of silver priced at Rs 1,950, 100 grams at Rs 19,500 and 1 kilogram at Rs 1,95,000.

In Mumbai, silver was relatively more affordable compared to southern cities, with 10 grams priced at Rs 1,850, 100 grams at Rs 18,500 and 1 kilogram at Rs 1,85,000.

The capital city Delhi recorded the same rates as Mumbai, with 10 grams of silver available for Rs 1,850, 100 grams for Rs 18,500 and 1 kilogram at Rs 1,85,000.

In Ahmedabad, silver maintained consistency with other cities in Gujarat, with 10 grams at Rs 1,850, 100 grams at Rs 18,500 and 1 kilogram at Rs 1,85,000.

In Kolkata, silver prices followed the national average, with 10 grams priced at Rs 1,850, 100 grams at Rs 18,500 and 1 kilogram at Rs 1,85,000.

Bangalore also saw stable silver prices matching other metro cities, with 10 grams at Rs 1,850, 100 grams at Rs 18,500 and 1 kilogram at Rs 1,85,000.

In Hyderabad, silver was trading at premium rates, with 10 grams costing Rs 1,950, 100 grams at Rs 19,500, and 1 kilogram at Rs 1,95,000.

In Pune, silver prices aligned with other western cities, with 10 grams priced at Rs 1,850, 100 grams at Rs 18,500 and 1 kilogram at Rs 1,85,000.
Silver Prices Jump Nearly 23% In October 2025 As of Now
Over the past few months, silver has shown a consistent upward trajectory, but the surge in October 2025 has been particularly striking. On October 1, silver was priced at Rs 1,51,000 per kg. By October 13, that price had climbed to Rs 1,85,000, representing a substantial 22.52% increase in just two weeks.
"We are bullish on silver, but that doesn't mean you buy blindly. Keep exposure to gold and silver at around 10-12% of your portfolio. The rest should be in equities, which are showing signs of recovery," as per Nilesh Shah, Managing Director of Kotak Mahindra Asset Management.
