Gold Falls As Hillary Clinton Cleared Of Criminal Charges

Gold prices fell, after Hillary Clinton was cleared by the FBI of criminal charges, with respect to the use of her private email server.

This led to a belief that it would brighten her prospects as the next President of the US, elections of which are to be held on November 8. Gold is a safe haven asset and has rallied last week after Donald Trump was ahead in the latest opinion polls.

International spot gold prices fell 1 per cent to $1288 an ounce, after sliding to as much as $1287 an ounce. In the Indian markets gold for 22 karats was seen trading at Rs 30,100 per 10 grams in the city of Mumbai. Gold petal on the MCX was seen trading at Rs 30,150 per 10 grams. Gold is expected to continue to trade in a band, unless there is a clear sign from the US Federal Reserve on interest rate hikes.
