Shares in Karma Energy was up 11 per cent in trade at Rs 23. There was no notice given to the BSE or the NSE, so it was difficult to ascertain the reason for the jump in the stock. Karma Energy is a leading player in the wind power, solar power and hydro power business. The company has developed and is operating about 33 MW wind power projects in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.Wind Power Projects of aggregate capacity of over 700 MW is under various stages of implementation in the states of Gujarat, Karnataka and Maharashtra. The Joint Venture Companies have signed MOU with Government of Gujarat under Vibrant Gujarat Programme for developing wind farms of over 500 MW. Shares in Hathway Cable Datacom was another stock that jumped 10 per cent in trade at Rs 28.75. The company had held an analyst meet on Sept 26, 2016.There were heavy volumes seen in the counter. Hathway Cable Datacom has Cable operations across key Indian geographies and offers cable television services across 140 cities and towns and high-speed cable broadband services across 21 cities.The company has established 20 digital head-ends in the country. Recently, it has been awarded the best MSO by the Indian Telly Awards for its quality Cable TV and Broadband Internet Services nine times and Star News Brand Excellence Awards for Brand Excellence in Digital Products for Internet Services in 2011. Energy Development Company was another stock that jumped 10 per cent in trade. E-Land Apparel is another stock that jumped 9 per cent, following its annual general body meeting. E-Land has not been doing well in the last few quarters and has reported losses for the quarter ending June 30, 2016 and the previous quarter ending March 31, 2016.Todays jump in the stock was on the back of larger volumes. MT Educare shares jumped 9.51 per cent in trade at Rs 141. MT Educare runs the famous Mahesh Tutorials in various parts of Mumbai. The company had gone public with an IPO a few years back.
