L&T Shares Gain On Winning Order Worth Rs 2,416 Crores

Shares of L&T rose more than one per cent on Monday after the company said that it has won orders worth Rs 2,416 crores from different business segments in the month of June 2016.

The company said that it has secured a contract for a high-rise residential project from a leading developer in Mumbai. The building & factories business of the company won orders worth Rs 1,165 crores.

L&T Construction's power transmission & distribution business has bagged orders worth Rs 1,120 crores in the domestic and international markets, said in the statement.

The company's smart world & communication business has secured contracts orders worth Rs 131 crore, added further.

Shares of the company were seen trading at Rs 1454, higher by 1.42 per cent on BSE at 12.08 pm IST. The stock touched an intra-day high of Rs 1454 during the trade.
