Corporation Bank said that the Bank is going to acquire 4% shareholding from the existing shareholder namely Nomura Asset Management Strategic Investments PTE Limited of LIC Nomura Mutual Fund Asset Management Company Ltd. at a price of Rs. 5,66,91,800/- as per the valuation derived, subject to necessary approval and agreement, if any.
The stock ended the day at Rs 40.95, lower by 3.19 per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday low Rs 40.80 during the trade.
Kalpataru Power Transmission said that it has acquired 100 per cent equity share capital of an SPV Company Alopurduar Transmission Ltd (ATL).
The stock ended the day at Rs 246.85, lower by 1.52 per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday low Rs 246 and high of Rs 260 during the trade.
ONGC and Cairn India fell 5 per cent each, after crude oil dropped to a new 11 year low. Indian stocks, followed a global market rout with oil and gas stocks among the worst hit.
The stock ended the day at Rs 225 lower by 4.99 per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday low Rs 224 and high of Rs 233 during the trade.
Shares in Tata Motors also fell 5 per cent, after worries over a sharp slowdown in China. The company gets a bulk of its revenues, particularly of Jaguar Landrover from China.
The stock ended the day at Rs 344, lower by 5.85 per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday low Rs 338 during the trade.
Banking stocks
Banking stocks also nosedived in trade with ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank and Canara Bank all hitting a new 52-week low.
