Gold trades flat on the MCX

Gold was trading flat o the MCX in the absence of any major cues. The metal for Feb delivery was trading at Rs 29,145, up Rs 177.
Silver on the other hand was also trading higher at Rs 45,459, up Rs 111.

After having had its worst performance in decades and falling for the first time in 12 years in 2013, gold has rallied in the last few days of 2014.
