Kotak Mahindra Bank Customers Pay Attention: Kotak Mahindra Bank customers are likely to face inconvenience on Sunday as bank has announced maintenance activity for certain duration. Due to the scheduled maintenance, services like UPI transactions, net banking ATM transactions, etc can be impacted during the period.

The banking maintenance activity will be carried out on Sunday, December 21, between 3:30 am and 4:30 am.

As per the bank's notification, services on Kotak Bank App (old), New Kotak Bank App, and Kotak 811 Mobile Banking Application are likely to be affected during the maintenance period. Additionally, UPI and other payment-related services, ATM transactions, may also be affected.
ATM usage will mostly stay normal for customers. Kotak Mahindra Bank has clarified that ATM transactions below Rs 20,000 will not face any impact. Larger withdrawals could face restrictions while systems update, so users needing higher cash amounts may prefer to plan ahead.
Details of the services affected by this scheduled work are summarised in the table below. The bank has fixed a narrow timing window in early morning hours, when usual transaction volumes are lower for most users.
Kotak811 Savings Account Range
Alongside the maintenance update, Kotak Mahindra Bank has shared information on the Kotak811 savings account range. Customers can choose between the Kotak811 Zero Balance Digital Savings Account and the 811 Super Savings Account, each with different benefits linked to balance needs and spending behaviour.
The Kotak811 savings account products are opened through a fully digital process, with instant activation after completion. Customers receive either a free virtual debit card or can request a physical card. The bank offers an interest rate of up to 5.75% p.a. with ActivMoney on eligible balances.
Can You Open Kotak811 Savings Account As Joint Account?
Kotak Mahindra Bank explains that a Kotak811 savings account cannot be opened as a joint account; it is meant for a single user only. Customers who start with a Zero Balance Digital Savings Account may later upgrade to an 811 Super Savings Account, either through the mobile banking app or customer care.
For withdrawals, customers with a Kotak811 savings account and a physical debit card, usually issued with Limited or Full KYC accounts, can use any ATM and follow the usual steps. Cash can also be withdrawn by visiting a Kotak Mahindra Bank branch and placing a request over the counter.
