Stocks To Buy Today, Oct 13: Top 2 Picks By Riyank Arora of Mehta Equities For Profitable Trading On Monday

For the second week in a row, markets continued to recover as the Nifty and Sensex closed near their weekly highs of 25,285.35 and 82,500.82, respectively, as investor sentiment improved following the World Bank's increase in India's FY26 GDP growth forecast from 6.3% to 6.5% and the net buying by Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) during the previous week.

Key domestic macroeconomic data will be highlighted this week, including the September retail inflation (CPI) and wholesale inflation (WPI) statistics on October 13 and 14, respectively. A busy Q2FY26 results schedule will additionally influence sectoral performance.

Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, conglomerate Reliance Industries, and IT giants Infosys, HCL Technologies, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, and LTIMindtree will all have their results closely watched by investors.

Nifty Outlook Today

"Nifty on the weekly chart has formed a sizable bull candle with a higher high and higher low signaling continuation of the up move. The index in the process closed above the short-term moving average and has retraced more than 80% of its previous decline ( 25448-24588). In the coming week, the index will maintain a positive bias and head higher towards 25,450 levels, being the confluence of the high of September 2025 and the trendline resistance joining the major highs of September 2024 and June 2025. A move above 25,450 will open further upside towards the June 2025 high of 25670 in the coming week. Stock specific action will remain in focus as we progress through the Q2FY26 earnings season. We believe dips in the coming week should be used as a buying opportunity. We have revised the support base higher towards 25,000-24,900 levels, being the confluence of the last week's low and the 20 & 50 days EMA," said the research analysts of Bajaj Broking.

Bank Nifty Outlook Today

"Bank Nifty formed a sizable bull candle with a higher high and higher low and closed above Tuesday's high signaling resumption of up move after two sessions of breather. Going ahead, index to maintain positive bias and head higher towards the all-time high of 57,300-57,600 in the coming week. On the downside support is placed at 55,500-55,000 levels being the confluence of the 20- & 50-days EMA and the 61.8% retracement of the last up move (54,227-56,502). We believe bias remains positive and dips should be used as a buying opportunity," commented the research analysts of Bajaj Broking.

RSI is turning upward, confirming a short-term positive bias. Sustaining above ₹628 could lead to an upside move toward ₹660 and ₹680. Traders can initiate fresh buys with a stop-loss at ₹610 to limit downside risk.

Anthem Bio

Buy | CMP: Rs 800 | SL: Rs 765 | Target: Rs 850 / Rs 880

Anthem Bio has broken out of its recent consolidation phase, backed by healthy volume action. The stock is trading above its 20-day and 50-day moving averages, highlighting strong momentum. RSI remains firm, suggesting more room for upside. Holding above ₹800 could propel the stock toward ₹850 and ₹880. Traders may enter long positions at current levels while keeping a stop-loss at ₹765 to safeguard profits.
