Small Cap Stock Sets Record Date For 150% Dividend, Scrip Up 190% In 3 Yrs
Dollar Industries is a small cap Consumer Discretionary company that recorded a market cap of Rs 2,129.69 Cr on Tuesday's closing session. The stock ended on a green note today after the Board of Directors fixed record date for 150% dividend payout for FY23. The Board of Directors of Dollar Industries have recommended a dividend of 150% (Rs 3/-per share) on the paid-up value of Rs 2/- per share.
While announcing the record date for the purpose of the same the company informed stock exchanges on Tuesday that "Pursuant to Regulation 42 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements), 2015, please be informed that the Company has fixed Thursday, 27th July 2023 as the cut-off date for determining entitlement of members to dividend for FY 2022-23. The Register of Members and Share Transfer Books of the Company will remain closed from Friday, 28th July 2023 till Thursday, 03rd August 2023 (both days inclusive) both for the purpose of 30th AGM and also for the payment of dividend for FY 2022-23."

During the March 2023 quarter, the company recorded a consolidated net income of Rs 407.63 Cr compared to Rs 376.80 Cr in March 2022 quarter. The company's net expenses reached Rs 399.34 Cr as against Rs 322.11 Cr in the same quarter of FY22. Its EBIT was Rs 8.29 Cr in Q4FY23 compared to Rs 54.69 Cr in Q4FY22 and net profit dropped to Rs 0.55 Cr from Rs 36.44 Cr in Q4FY22. Dollar Industries is yet to declare its Q1FY24 results.
The shares of Dollar Industries closed today on the BSE at Rs 375.50 apiece up by 0.71% from the previous close of Rs 372.85. The stock made a 52-week-high of Rs 547.85 on (15/09/2022) and a 52-week-low of Rs 310.25 on (27/02/2023). The stock price jumped from Rs 322 to the current market price during the past five years, resulting in a return of 11.13%. The stock price climbed from Rs 133.65 to the current market price during the past three years, resulting in a multibagger return of 190%. The stock has dropped by 8.85% over the past year, and it went down by 12.38% YTD in 2023.
During Q4FY23, the company reported promoter shareholding of 73.09%, FIIs stake of 0.44%, DIIs stake of 2.26% and public stake of 24.21%.
