Small Cap Pharma Stock Surges As Board Sets Record Date For Final Dividend On Sept 15

Pharmaceuticals firm Supriya Lifescience Ltd. in a Board meeting held on Monday, Sept 05, 2023, fixes the record date for dividend as Friday, Sept 15, 2023. The shares of the company surged on the announcement of the record date.

On May 26, 20234, the Board of Directors of the company recommended a final dividend of Rs 0.60 per equity share of face value of Rs 2 each. The recommended dividend is subject to approval by the shareholders of the company at the AGM. With a market cap of Rs 2,254.32 Crore, Supriya Lifescience is a small-cap pharma sector company.

"the Register of Members and Share Transfer Books of the Company will remain closed from Saturday September 16, 2023 to Friday, September 29, 2023 (both days inclusive) purpose of Dividend and AGM. The Company has fixed Friday, September 15, 2023 as the "Record Date" for determining entitlement of Members to final dividend for the financial year ended March 31, 2023, if approved at the AGM," the Company's Board said in a filing.

The Board in an exchange filing on May 26, 2023, said, "Recommended the Final Dividend of Rs. 0.60 per equity share (face value of Rs. 2/- each) subject to approval of shareholders in the ensuing Annual General Meeting."

Supriya Lifescience's shares on Tuesday closed 1.52% higher at Rs 280.10 apiece on the BSE with day's highs and lows of Rs 281.65 and Rs 273.60, respectively. The shares gained 4.40% in the past 1 week. In the past 3 and 6 months, shares gained 10.62% and 37.34%, respectively. However, it has fallen 19.60% in the past 1 year.
