PL Recommends Top Pvt, PSU Metal Stocks To Buy, Accumulate, Sell; Max TP Rs 1017
Prabhudas Lilladher has recommended investors to buy 5 metal stocks showing potential to offer returns to traders. These stocks are NMDC, Hindalco Industries, Jindal Steel & Power, JSW Steel, and NALCO. "Non-ferrous metal prices improved 5-17% MoM post LME ban on Russian origin metals recently; which is expected to benefit 1HFY25 performance for domestic producers. We remain positive on Hindalco with TP of Rs 658, said PL. The analyst has picked Hindalco Industries, JSP, and JSTL as top picks from the metal sector.
According to the brokerage firm, "domestic steel demand remains stable amidst ongoing elections. Companies have taken some price hikes in Long products as secondary market prices have started inching up over last three weeks due to thermal coal scarcity. With HRC prices started moving up, we believe steel mills would attempt price hikes in coming months. With stable coking coal prices (USD230-250/t), global steel prices would remain stable aiding domestic companies. Recent higher spreads in China can however lead to uptick in steel production, exerting pressure on price." Given below are more details:
