New Limited Period FD Scheme Offers Up To 9.15% Interest Rate

Shriram Finance Ltd launched a special fixed deposit scheme under the Shriram Unnati Jubilee Deposit category for a limited tenure. The limited period special FD scheme will offer customers maximum fixed deposit interest rates of up to 9.15% p.a. for senior women citizens.

The special fixed deposit scheme has been launched to mark Shriram Group's golden jubilee. The interest rates have become effective beginning from April 5, 2023, as per the press release by Shriram Finance Ltd.

The latest deposit scheme is valid for new and renewed FDs for the term of 50 months and interest rates will remain available for a limited time beginning from April 5. Under the new FD scheme, women senior citizens can fetch the highest FD interest rate of up to 9.15% p.a.

It is worth mentioning that women citizens will get an additional 0.10% p.a. interest. Senior citizens will be eligible to receive an additional 0.50% p.a. interest rate. And, in the case of women senior citizens, they can get an additional interest rate of 0.60% p.a. These tenures will remain available for both offline and online investments, according to Shriram Finance's official website.

An additional interest rate of 0.25% p.a. will be paid n all renewals, where the deposit is matured.

It is worth noting that fresh depositors can fetch an interest rate of 8.50% p.a., women investors can get 8.61%, renewals 8.77%, renewal by women investors 8.88%. Senior citizens will be given an interest rate of 9.04%, senior citizen renewal interest rate is 9.31%, and women senior citizen renewal interest rate will be 9.42%.

It is important to note that Shriram Finance will accept application for fresh and renewal of FDs of 50 months' term with interest. Investors can make the investment both via online and offline.

Meanwhile, Shriram Finance has declared that is withdrawing the 48-month scheme with effect from April 15, 2023. The terms of the remaining schemes will continue to remain unchanged.

It is rated "[ICRA]AA+ (Stable) by ICRA and "IND AA+/Stable by India Ratings and Research.
