Following the bank's strong financial performance in Q4 FY25, market excitement was reflected in the notable spike in ICICI Bank's shares on Monday, April 21, 2025, as it started higher at Rs 1437. The shares of ICICI Bank showed a significant upward trend throughout the trading session, peaking at Rs 1,437 intraday. This surpassed the stock's prior peak and set a new 52-week high. On April 19, 2024, the intraday low was Rs 1,048.35. The bank's market value hit Rs 10,03,907.67 crore for the first time, and the stock finished at Rs 1409.40, up more than 0.20% from the conclusion of the previous trading day.

ICICI Bank Q4 Results

The bank's profit after tax grew by 18.0% YoY to Rs 12,630 crore in Q4FY25 from Rs 10,708 crore in Q4-FY24, while its net profit climbed by 15.5% YoY to Rs 47,227 crore in FY2025 from Rs 40,888 crore in the year ended March 31, 2024 (FY2024). ICICI Bank reports that its net interest income (NII) jumped by 11.0% YoY, from Rs 19,093 crore in Q4FY24 to Rs 21,193 crore in Q4FY25.

In Q4 2025, ICICI Bank's net interest margin was 4.41%, compared to 4.25% in Q3 2025 and 4.40% in Q4 2024. The net interest margin in FY2025 was 4.32%. From Rs 5,930 crore in the year-ago quarter to Rs 7,021 crore in the quarter under review, the bank's non-interest income increased 18.4% YoY.

ICICI Bank reports that its core operating profit climbed 13.7% year on year, from Rs 15,320 crore in Q4FY24 to Rs 17,425 crore in Q4FY25. From Rs 718 crore in Q4 2024 and Rs 1,227 crore in Q3 2025, ICICI Bank improved its provisions to Rs 891 crore in Q4 2025.

The gross non-performing asset ratio reached 1.67% on March 31, 2025, and 1.96% on December 31, 2024. The net NPA ratio became 0.42% on December 31, 2024, and 0.39% on March 31, 2025. The additions to gross non-performing assets (NPA) were Rs 5,142 crore in Q4 2025 and Rs 6,085 crore in Q3 2025.

Consolidated profit after tax in Q4 2025 amounted to Rs 13,502 crore, increasing 15.7% from Rs 11,672 crore in Q4 2024. The bank's total assets grew by 11.8% year on year, from Rs 23,64,063 crore on December 31, 2024, to Rs 26,42,241 crore on March 31, 2025.

ICICI Bank Dividend

Subject to the necessary clearances, the Board proposed a dividend of Rs 11/-per equity share with a face value of 2/-each on April 19. Following approval by the members at the subsequent Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the bank, the dividend on equity shares will be paid to the members whose names will be available on the record book of the bank as on record date, which is yet to be declared.

"ICICI Bank continues to trade with a bullish bias, supported by a strong structure and higher lows. A breakout above ₹1425 could lead to a fresh uptrend toward ₹1455-₹1480. The stock remains one of the stronger names in the banking space, with consistent buying seen on dips. Immediate support is placed at ₹1385," commented Riyank Arora - Technical Analyst - Mehta Equities Limited.
