SBI Mutual Fund is one of the largest asset management companies in India, it was establised in 29 June 1987. It manages assets worth Rs 7.22 lakh crore (December 2022, as per AMFI). It is a joint venture between SBI and AMUNDI (France), one of the world's leading fund management companies. SBI currently holds 63% stake in SBIFML and the 37% stake is held by AMUNDI Asset Management through a wholly owned subsidiary, Amundi India Holding.

SBI MF is the first fund house to launch India's first contra fund SBI Contra Fund and ESG Fund. Today it offers a wide range of mutual fund schemes across equity, debt, hybrid, and other categories, including ETFs, and index funds.
