Mutual funds have had a good run over the last 3-years, while the going has been slightly difficult over the last 1-year. Here are 5 mutual fund schemes from the SBI stable that have been the best performers over a 3-year period. The SBI Contra Direct Plan Growth has been one of the best performers over a 3-year period from the SBI stable. The fund has holdings in stocks like GAIL, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Tech Mahindra, Axis Bank, Equitas Small Finance Bank etc. A large part of the mutual fund performance would be based on market movement. Should the markets move significantly higher from these levels, it is widely expected that the fund performance too would follow.
