2 Large Cap Mutual Funds That Have "Gold Ratings" From Morningstar
It's always been a tough task for investors looking to invest in mutual fund schemes to pick the best mutual fund scheme possible. It gets even more complicated as over a period of time the fund's performance changes and also returns.

What is the Morningstar sold, silver and bronze ratings?
If a fund receives a positive rating of Gold, Silver, or Bronze, it means Morningstar analysts think highly of the fund and expect it to outperform over a full market cycle of at least five years. The Analyst Rating is not a market call, and it is not meant to replace investors' due-diligence process. In short, though we are highlighting the ones that are rated gold, investors need to thoroughly do their own research.
1) Aditya Birla Sun Life Frontline Equity Growth: A good performer

The fund has given returns of 18.41% on an annualized basis in 3-years and around 10% returns in 5-years on an annualized basis. Aditya Birla Sun Life Frontline Equity Growth has an NAV of Rs 333.53, with assets under management of Rs 21,113 crores, which is sizeable. The holdings include names like ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank. You can invest in this mutual fund even through the SIP route. In fact, that should be more of a preferred route for investors these days.
2) Mirae Asset Bluechip Fund, Growth: Another consistent performer
This is another fund that has been accorded a gold ratings from Morningstar. The fund has over the years been a good outperformer. The net asset value of the fund is currently Rs 92.03. The 3-year returns of the fund on an annualized basis is 21.40%, while the 5-year returns of Mirae Asset Bluechip Fund, Growth has been 14.22%. The equity holdings of the fund is 99.78%. Since it is a largecap fund the risks remain high for investors and therefore caution is advised, if you do not have a penchant for risk.
