1:5 Sub-Division of Shares: 28th January Record Date For Stock Split; Unlock Value?
Mazda Limited is an engineering firm based in the Western Region of India that was established in 1990. Mazda exports its products to more than 40 nations, including the United States and Europe. With a market value of Rs 692.46 Cr, Mazda's shares closed Thursday's trading session 6% lower at Rs 1,729 a share on the NSE following the company's announcement of a record date for a 1:5 stock split.

"Pursuant to Regulation 42 of the SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015, we wish to inform you that pursuant to the shareholders' approval obtained through postal ballot process, the company has fixed Record Date as mentioned below in the table for the purpose of sub-division/split of 1 (one) Equity Share of the company having a face value of Rs. 10/- each into 5 (Five) Equity Shares of the company having face value of Rs. 2/- each," said Mazda in a stock exchange filing.
Tuesday, 28th January, 2025 has been fixed as the record date for determining the eligibility of shareholders for the purpose of sub - division/split of each equity share having face value of Rs.10/- each into 5 equity shares having face value of Re.2/- each.

"The Company has been informed by the Registrar and Share Transfer Agent ("RTA") that they have changed their name from Link Intime India Private Limited to MUFG Intime India Private Limited w.e.f. December 31, 2024. We request you to take note of the same and update the name as "MUFG Intime India Private Limited" as the RTA of the Company, in your records. The address and other contact details of the RTA of the Company remain unchanged," said Mazda in a stock exchange filing.

"Mazda stock price is bullish & very overbought on the Daily charts with next resistance at 1899. Investors should be booking profits as a Daily close below support of 1708 could lead to a target of 1516 in the near term," commented A R Ramachandran, Independent Research Analyst.
