What If Your Name Is Missing from the 2002 SIR List?

If your name or that of your parents or relatives does not appear in the 2002 Special Intensive Revision (SIR) voter roll, there's no need to panic. The Election Commission of India (ECI) has put in place a process to help eligible citizens get their names included in the updated list. In such cases, the ECI will issue a formal notice asking you to establish your eligibility for inclusion in the electoral roll.

You will need to submit valid documents that verify your identity, age, and place of residence. Once you provide these documents, election officials will review and verify your details. After successful verification, your name will be added to the draft electoral roll, which will later be incorporated into the final voter list to be published on February 7, 2026. This ensures that you retain your right to vote in the upcoming West Bengal Assembly Elections 2026.
