An orange alert has also been issued for West Madhya Pradesh, Central Maharashtra, Coastal Karnataka, and Kerala, where heavy rains are expected. Additionally, Eastern India is also likely to experience significant rainfall during this period.

In the northern and northeastern regions, Uttarakhand, East Madhya Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya are expected to receive strong downpours.

Konkan and Goa, will face heavy rain, with strong winds up to 50 km/h. Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Coastal Karnataka, and North Interior Karnataka is predicted to experience scattered heavy rainfall, especially in coastal regions.

This kind of weather could result in traffic problems, water accumulation, and disruption to daily routines, particularly in areas that are prone to flooding.

Strong Winds and Storms

Along with the heavy rainfall, strong winds reaching 30-40 km/h are expected, along with thunderstorms in many parts of the country. The IMD has advised caution when traveling or going outdoors during these conditions.

Fishermen Advisory

The IMD has issued an advisory for fishermen, warning them to avoid venturing into the sea or other water bodies from July 26 to July 31, especially in coastal areas of Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Kerala. Strong winds and rough seas pose a significant risk to anyone out on the water.

Safety Precautions

The IMD advises people in affected regions to stay updated with local weather reports and avoid water-logged areas. There's also a risk of flash floods, particularly in hilly areas, along with strong surface winds. Travelers should take extra care when outdoors, as storms and landslides are possible, especially in regions with mountainous terrain.
