V-Mart Retail Shares Surge 11% After Strong Q2 Update; Is A Bigger Breakout Ahead? Here's What Analyst Says

V-Mart Retail Share Price Today: V-Mart Retail share price surged nearly 11% during Friday's intraday trade. The strong upside in its valuation has come after the company reported a total of 22% upside in its total revenue from operations in the second quarter of the financial year 2025-26.

V-Mart Retail shares were trading 9.64% higher at Rs 795 per share on BSE with a market capitalisation of Rs 6,311.28 crore. The stock had touched an intraday high mark of Rs 816.40 per share, and an intraday low mark of Rs 756.85 per share.

V-Mart Retail Share Price Recommendation

The strong growth in sales in the second quarter and robust expansion in terms of store openings will likely help V-Mart retain its positive growth trajectory. The sharp recovery in blended SSSG to 11% in the September quarter is likely to fuel V-Mart's share price rally further, noted Motilal Oswal in its report on Friday.

"We believe a strong 11% SSSG should lead to further margin expansion. Reiterate BUY," noted Motilal Oswal in its report. The brokerage has fixed a target price of Rs 1,035 per share for the long term.

V-Mart Retail Q2 Update

The company reported a 22% surge in its total revenue from operations for the quarter to Rs 807 crore. The company's same-store sales growth (SSSG) stood at 11% for the quarter .

V-Mart Retail's total store count stood at 533 in the September quarter as it opened 25 new stores and closed around 2 stores during the quarter. The 25 new stores include five in Karnataka, four stores each in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, Two stores each in West Bengal & Jharkhand, and one store each in Jammu & Kashmir.

V-Mart Retail Share Price Trend

V-Mart Retail shares were trading higher during Friday's intraday trade. The stock had touched a 52-week high mark of Rs 1,129.33 per share on 30 October, 2024. V-Mart Retail share price dipped to its 52-week low mark of Rs 675.01 on 12 March, 2025. The stock valuation has declined around 18.5% since the beginning of the year 2025 (year to date). Its valuation has dropped around 28% in one year.
