Tere Ishk Mein Box Office:Film Becomes 2nd Best For Dhanush In Bollywood, Beats Akshay Kumar's Jolly LLB3

Tere Ishk Mein debuted in Indian cinema on November 28, receiving stable demand from fans. Tere Ishk Mein has emerged as the second-best opener for the South Indian superstar, Dhanush, and also his biggest opener in Tamil for 2025. Dhanush had a busy 2025 with releases like Kuberaa, Idli Kadhai, and Tere Ishk Mein. This banger opening signals the growing popularity of Dhanush in the Indian Bollywood industry. Notably, Dhanush has enjoyed over two decades of great success and milestone in Tamil market. He entered Bollywood with Raanjhanaa, which was a success in 2013.

As per the Sacnilk data, the Dhanush-Kriti Sanon starrer movie recorded a box office collection of Rs 16.50 crore in India nett. The movie had an overall 25.77% Hindi Occupancy on Friday, November 28, 2025. While the movie saw an overall 20.84% Tamil Occupancy.

The Ahaan Pandey debut Saiyaara movie is the biggest opener in Bollywood history in the romantic genre. Tere Ishq Mein follows it on the second spot. During its opening day, Saiyaara had bagged a box office collection of Rs 21.5 crore in India nett.

Another new romantic release is of Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor's Param Sundari which bagged a collection of Rs 7.25 crore.

Tera Ishk Mein Movie Review:

Despite the early ratings, the review on Tere Ishq Mein is mixed.

According to Film Critic, Aavishkar,TERE ISHQ MEIN didn't at all work for me. Couldn't connect to the emotions. A few scenes definitely standout, thanks to the solid performances by the lead and some sharp dialogues. But it didn't make much sense to me in its entirety. Also, a few scenes are deeply problematic (can't give spoilers).

The critic added, Dhanush is excellent with his expressions but his Hindi dialogue delivery affects the performance key sequences. Kriti Sanon gives one more terrific performance but she deserved a much better film. Zeeshan and Prakash Raj shine even in their limited screen time.

Aavishkar also added, "AR Rahman's music is good but director AnandLRai didn't use it well in the film. I wonder why. His direction is fine but the story and the screenplay didn't leave much scope. Overall a DISAPPOINTING affair."

Meanwhile, another critic said, Taran Adarsh said, "The film rests on two major strengths: several captivating moments and stellar performances." He added, "What stands out is Rai's subtlety... He refuses to go overdramatic or loud, a mark of a mature storyteller... Even in the tense, conflict-driven sequences, he stays restrained and never crosses the line."

However, even Adarsh believes a tighter narrative would've enhanced the overall impact. He said, "The screenplay - particularly in the final act - could've been simpler and more concise, as it tends to feel stretched... A more impactful culmination was the need of the hour."
